Our department wizard disappeared. His entire office was empty except for a black burn mark in the floor and a piece of parchment paper stuck to his lab table. No one in the Society can read the letters on the parchment. As odd as that is, the event happened and none of the alarms went off. I think the Society has been compromised.

The Sisterhood of the Hat gained a new member today, Miuna Isla. Miuna has many titles like pirate, seafarer, half-mermaid, weather witch, and Mother Ocean’s favorite child. There isn’t an enchanted light house or seedy port-of-call Miuna doesn’t know. Her constant companion is an enchanted sailing vessel that changes form. Today it looks like a luxury yacht. Yesterday it was a row-boat.

To celebrate the Bright Lady’s longest day, the talking dog clan throws a huge party. My favorite part is the hunt game. For the adventurous, you can be the prey for a day. Everyone is welcome. I’ve seen years where the dogs find everyone within hours. Other times the prey is so good the dogs fly the surrender flag. I’ve won the big prize myself once or twice.

As a child, I rode the largest of my family’s bumblebees into mock battles with my siblings. Today I did the same terrorizing that small town of humans. Could anything be better than causing terror and mischief one human at a time?
