I’ve encountered a few blue creatures on the Untrodden Ways. None of them were as cute and friendly as the Smurfs of television and movie fame.

To celebrate the Bright Lady’s longest day, the talking dog clan throws a huge party. My favorite part is the hunt game. For the adventurous, you can be the prey for a day. Everyone is welcome. I’ve seen years where the dogs find everyone within hours. Other times the prey is so good the dogs fly the surrender flag. I’ve won the big prize myself once or twice.

As a child, I rode the largest of my family’s bumblebees into mock battles with my siblings. Today I did the same terrorizing that small town of humans. Could anything be better than causing terror and mischief one human at a time?

Longarms found a war-rig. I empowered it with faery fire, and we fought our way to the way-portal. Glorious devastation. We almost made it out. Longarms was infected by an Emptiness.

The Mustellans — a furry, smelly, nasty forest folk tribe that looks like Old Earth’s weasels — attempted an invasion. They should have picked another town. The girls and I were on vacation and didn’t appreciate the interruption.

Walking around the spice fair, I bumped into those dwarves again. Their champion was entering the axe throwing contest. I won a fair bit of gold betting on the little guy.

In the third level locker is a red rose. When cases are stressful, I like to sneak in and look at it. The rose’s aura fills me with warm feelings and dreams of courage and passion.

Spoiled apples, I was ambushed walking out of a way-portal. I don’t get any respect in this modern world. Whatever it was stabbed me and dumped me in a ditch when the humans appeared. Everything went rotten from there.
